The project ŠTĚDROŇ 2025 explores the legacy of two prominent figures of 20th-century Czech music—composer Vladimír Štědroň and musicologist Bohumír Štědroň. Marking the 125th and 120th anniversaries of their births, the project brings their work back into focus through two concerts in Brno and Prague, a documentary exhibition, a retrospective CD, and a deeper look into their family story against the broader backdrop of Czech modernism.
As part of ŠTĚDROŇ 2025, a pre-concert lecture will be given by Professor Miloš Štědroň. It will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Respirium, and admission to the lecture is free.
The project will also take place in Brno. Both the lecture and concert are scheduled for October 3, 2025, in the concert hall of the Department of Musicology, Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University.
