The three works in this concert represent three different worlds, which will be guided through by Václav Petr, concertmaster of the Czech Philharmonic, and Marek Kozák, one of the most talented pianists of his generation. On the programme Bohuslav Martinů's Sonata No. 3 for cello and piano, a constant among chamber works for cello. There will also be Alfred Schnittke's Sonata for Cello and Piano, dedicated to Natalie Gutman, who premiered it in 1979, and Sergei Rachmaninoff's Sonata in G minor.
